Playtest & Recording Agreement

ROGC playtests are collaborative tabletop roleplaying sessions used to develop publishable adventure content. Sessions may be scheduled as part of an ongoing campaign. Participation is voluntary.

All sessions are recorded. Recordings will include video (including your face), audio, and chat/voice communications.

ROGC will publish edited clips/episodes derived from these recordings online, including on social media. By joining the playtest program, you understand and agree that your participation may appear in published episodes and short-form clips.

Participation in the program requires a webcam and on-camera presence during sessions.

In addition to this agreement, you will be required to sign a separate Participant Release Form covering the use of your name/likeness/voice in published recordings. If you do not sign the release form, you cannot participate.

You agree to keep confidential any unreleased playtest materials and story elements, including (without limitation) adventure content, plot information, locations, characters, unique monsters, mechanics, maps, handouts, and other proprietary material.

You agree not to post, stream, summarize, share screenshots, distribute files, or otherwise disclose unreleased playtest content publicly or privately.

Once an episode or clip is publicly released by ROGC, you may share and discuss what has been publicly released, but you may not disclose unreleased or behind-the-scenes information.

All playtest materials and associated intellectual property are owned by ROGC.

Playtest sessions are collaborative and may include your improvisation, character decisions, dialogue, and other creative contributions. You grant ROGC a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, edit, adapt, reproduce, publish, and distribute your contributions as part of the adventure development process and any published audio/video content, in any media, without further permission.

Player-created character concepts remain the property of their creators; however, you grant ROGC the same license above to use your character as part of the playtest sessions and any published audio/video content derived from them.

(If you have a pre-existing character concept, setting element, or other material you consider proprietary, do not introduce it into the playtest unless you are comfortable with it being used in the project.)

You agree to treat other participants with respect. Harassment, bullying, discrimination, or disruptive behavior is not tolerated. ROGC may remove participants at any time for conduct that undermines the table or the project.

Playtests depend on consistent attendance. You agree to show up on time, communicate promptly about scheduling conflicts, and use reasonable effort to attend scheduled sessions.

ROGC may continue a session if a minimum number of players attend, as communicated for the campaign.

Your feedback may be captured through recordings, written notes, and post-session debriefs. You agree that ROGC may use your feedback to improve the game and related content without additional permission.

Participation is voluntary and unpaid. ROGC may offer non-cash perks such as credit and copies of published material, at ROGC’s discretion.

You may leave the playtest program at any time by notifying ROGC. ROGC may remove any participant at any time. Termination ends participation in future sessions, but does not revoke rights granted to ROGC for recordings already created or for confidentiality obligations regarding unreleased content.
